Day 1 End …sigh…

It isn’t good.  There is damage down to the mud sill (the horizontal framing piece that sits on the foundation).  Won’t be able to see until tomorrow how bad it is.  When they took the flashing off the edge of the roof, more idiocy was uncovered with how the roof was so poorly installed many years ago.

The timing looks to be about 3 weeks if we are lucky.  Sheetrock – and therefore interior paint – can’t happen until the banging stops.  Day 2 will tell us the balance of the damage story and any cost overruns.  The rest of the stucco will be removed and some framing will begin.

Not what you want to see at your foundation
